I'm always saving the caps off of plastic containers to either hold parts while working on a camera, or to make lens caps out of.
My recent acquisition of the Soligor 135mm for an Argus C-3 had me digging through the box looking for a cap of the proper size for the rear of the lens. I found one, but then I now don't know where my felt is to line it. The reorganization has not gone smoothly.
Anyway, I then took a Kodak film canister lid, trimmed the inner ring off, then made a notch so one could hook a fingernail in it for removal from the lens. It's only temporary, as the threads on the lens tend to shave little bits off the inside of the cap.
