Hi,
has anyone of you experience with "transplating" a folder lens from a pronto(r) to a compur shutter or the other way round?
I have an 50s Agfa Record I here with an Apotar lens that gives nice results. Unfortunately the Pronto (not Prontor) shutter went belly up after a couple of rolls. My plan was to see if I could replace it with a very nicely working #0 Compur shutter that I salvaged from a pre-war German Kodak 620 folder wreck (Vollenda).
Problem is, the rear element will screw in without problems, but the middle element will not screw into the shutter housing. It's the same shutter size/diameter obviously, but the threads seem to be just slightly different, so no matter how I try, it will not screw in. Anyone know if there is a general incompatibility between the threads on the Pronto(r) and Compur shutters or is this just a case of an individual mismatch?
