I just received a 40.5 lens hood for my Industar 61 from ebay seller cam.plus in Hong Kong. It cost US$10.50 with free shipping. If anyone is looking for one of these, it is a great piece of kit and great value. No affiliation to seller, etc., etc., just passing on a good find.

The industar really benefits from a good hood. Flare is greatly reduced and contrast is quite "snappy".

I'm using the slanted/vented hood I got for my Contax on the I-26M. For once, a new-to-me lens that doesn't require additional expense for filters and hood!
The hood came from Fedka and I believe ebay seller heavystar sells the same one, as well.

Yup, Heavystar sells that too. I use it with all my 40,5mm Russian lenses.

I, too, have a Chinese-made vented, matte-black, Leica style hood. Fits my J-8, fixed Rokkor 45/2.8 on my Minolta A5 and the I-61. Good piece of kit.

Now you just gave me a semi-argument for buying a J-8. Which I really, really don't need, as I have a Sonnar on the Contax.
But Honey, I already have a hood and filters for it...
