I'm very happy to have a Konica IIIA coming my way. It's an export model with the 50mm f/1.8.
Any recommendations on a lens hood? Doesn't need to be Konica or period appropriate (although I wouldn't mind that), just work well. I do prefer screw on hoods as opposed to clip on types. I'm also partial to those rubber ones that flatten back on it (the heavy rubber ones, not the flimsy rubber ones).
Thanks.

There exists a square, clamp-on black metal Konihood, proper for this camera.

It is a 43mm filter thread on the 50mm f1.8.
Just get a generic hood from Heavy Star on ebay or directly from their site.
You could also get a fancy Yama 43mm hood. I had one for my ltm nikkor.
A Very nice "vented" RF shade.

I'd highly recommend HeavyStar and have gotten several hoods from them. Great prices, great service and surprisingly well made...TW

Yeah, I saw on on ebay. $50 + $20 shipping. A little too rich for my blood. If I can find one for cheap I'll probably get it.

So a generic hood doesn't intrude on the view frame? Just a little?
