This is a weird one. Since I am waiting for my new M6, I figure I should try and decide the lens I would like to mate to it. I am planning on the 75mm Summilux (used), and can throw another grand into lenses. I am trying to compliment my G series for weddings. I am looking for quality, but new or uesed is not an issue. Suggestions and comments?

I was thinking maybe. Really only need one or two lenses. Have a fairly complete Contax kit to mate.
 
Maybe a 50mm or 35mm Lux, pre-ASPH (since you need the optical speed more than the capability of recording every zit or mole in clinical detail with the f-stop at full bore).
 
For weddings? I'd say a 28 or 35. The 50 is too close to the 75 you have already. If you use a 28, you'll always be in front of the crowd when you shoot.
 
How is the last pre-ASPH lux compared to it's competitors from Voigtlander?
 
Here is a weird thought. A 75/1.4 Summilux and a 40/1.4 Nokton. The Nokton I hear is equivelent to a 100% on the 35mm framelines (so, would be moded). I was thinking this due to speed and compactness.

Thoughts?
 
I agree with the idea of a 35 to go with the 75. Either a pre-asph 'lux or pre-asph 'cron should do the trick and meet your budget.
