Inspired by Paulfish lets see your backlit flags. Whatever country you live in you should be proud of your heritage. So flaunt it here & be proud of your country, state, or whatever, IOW's lets see them all!

Let's see someone burning one ... that would get my attention.

Surely somebody has a pic from a protest rally or similar where the term 'backlit' can have real meaning! :D

We don't do a lot of flag waving in this country and to be truthful the Aussie flag really isn't all that spectacular ... maybe that's why?

mine too, but as someone who put a small portion of his life, as well as his blood on the line defending mine... I'd rather not, but thanks anyway .

my 2 cents.

Sorry ... no offence meant Todd.

It's always interested me that the Australian flag seems to have very little significance in our down under culture. The US flag seems to have a lot of history attached to to it and US citizens treat it accordingly.

There's been several attempts over the years for Australia to have a new flag but we seem as reluctant to do that as we are to dismiss the Queen as our head of state and become completely independant.

We are convict stock after all ... don't forget! :D

It would be very interesting to watch that transformation, Keith, the design of a new flag ...

Coming from a Commonwealth country that did adopt a new flag in 1965 I would say the process was so so interesting. We did keep the Queen in the loop though. Not much flag waving here either.
