My M8 arrived in the United States on Sunday, but for the past two days it's been hung up in customs. I am hoping it will be in my hot hands tomorrow.

By the way, this is among my first posts here --I've been a lurker. I used Leica in the 1970s and 1980s but gave up on film photography about 10 years' ago. To me this is the camera that I have been waiting for my entire life.

Take me off the list. I am returning mine for a refund. The IR color problem is huge. The banding is unacceptable. Leica really stubbed their toe on this one.

I also have serious trouble with my M8 - the pictures are as (un)sharp as with my consumer-DSLR - should I buy a new lens? ;-)

Those look like shake from slow shutter speed Georgl!
