I was going thru some neglected lenses & decided I'd use my I-26m on the Bessa R for remainder of my roll of HP5 plus I have loaded. Looking thru Soviet Cams website here there have been many versions of this lens. My I-26m came on a Fed 2 (now retired) with a serial # of 1472212. From what I can tell, mine is a PT4365. From what I can guess that is a prototype # for each version made. The lens I have is a beautiful coated example & the rear focus & front aperture ring is smooth. I look forward to shooting it on the Bessa this week.
Let's see your photo's, both color & B&W shot with whatever version you have of this lens. Also would like to read your thoughts.

This lens is almost good enough to make me give up on getting my Yashica YF fixed, and instead get a FED to mount it on, as the Zorki I shot these with is worn out.

Phil that honeysuckle shot is awesome, such clarity. & the 2nd shot with the cable is sharp. That lens is no shelf queen. Get a nice working Fed if you can find one. One mistook fed is the Fed 5. I really need to load mine up, it's been over a year or more, still LNIB but I have so many loaded now & I'm kinda like the TV character Monk, too many cameras loaded at one time irritate me for some reason & I want to finish one befoer I load another.

Let's get out our Industar-26 lenses and increase the workers' quota of 'keepers-per-roll'! May the glorious Socialist lens technology of the Industar-26 help make us better photographers!
Or something like that.
This was taken with an Industar-26 on a Canon 7 rangefinder. Fuji Superia 400 film.

Color is great on this lens. I don't think I've ever ran a roll of color thru a camera using the I-26m.Let's get out our Industar-26 lenses and increase the workers' quota of 'keepers-per-roll'! May the glorious Socialist lens technology of the Industar-26 help make us better photographers!

I've been considering a FED 2C, and a Zorki 6, because of the rangefinder base. But hard to find a 'body only' when I'm in the mood, Greg. Then other things come up, and I just set that thought back till later.

Fed-2 and I26m
My lens has been opened by an amateur at some time, because the face plate is scratched, but it still seems to be in good shape otherwise. Still it seems to show some flare, so I got a hood after I shot the roll with this photo. Haven't used it since, though.

Finished my roll shot with the Bessa R & I-26m. Developed the roll in Rodinal & is hanging to dry. Will post after scanning which may take a few days...gotta work.
