... taken with classic Contax bodies or Zeiss RF lenses... Those things are not only for collectors :D

Here are some of mine :

Based on their prices, they definitely aren't for collectors -- they are a great bargain (if you get a working one). Nice pictures -- C'est un El Camino?!

No, it's a Ford Ranchero ;)

You are right about the price : it is possible to have a nice Contax lens for less than 100€, about the price of a Leica IR filter or a hood. Barnack Leicas cost much more. I paid 80€ for the collapsible Sonnar (small scratches, but quite usable) two weeks ago. But I think prices are rising.

Oregon Coast, Contax G2, Zeiss 21mm, Kodak Portra 160NC

I kinda like that the horizon is crooked, as it makes the image authentic, real.
Otherwise it would look too perfect, and something cooked up for a calendar or a PC screen saver.

Next 3 are taken with 50mm f/2 Sonnar Opton on Contax IIa. Kodak Ektar 100 was used.

Contax II w/ 50/1.5 Sonnar. Lens has an oil haze on the internal surfaces & is even now away being overhauled. More once it's back...

Same lens as my other two shots in this thread -- a coated (marked with a red T) 1939 1.5 sonnar. Just got it back from a cleaning a couple of hours ago so I put it on a Fuji X Pro 1 and took a quick test shot of a friend I ran in to at a coffeeshop:

The lens and camera, by the way, qualify as one of those strokes of amazing luck one sometimes gets. I went into the camera store in Anchorage to buy a few rolls of Tri-X and looked at the used cameras as the clerk was getting my film. There was a Contax II with the 1.5 Sonnar on it. I asked him if I could look at it when he came back with the film. Everything seemd to be working just fine, shutter well behaved at all speeds, rangefinder looked good &c. Looked at the price -- $150. With lens. I had not intended to buy a camera that day. Sometimes intentions are revised.
