Hello,
Like many people here, I have several cameras with fixed lenses. Is there an interest to have a camera swap "meeting"here? We could add some flavor to the swapping by making it a temporary swapping until both parties agree that the camera swap in fact is final. The cost of most fixed lens cameras is not high, and it would be enjoyful [in my opinion] to try out someone else's camera for a few rolls, with the honest intention to accept the camera swapping if we find that it is agreeable to us.
Is there such interest here? We could start a list of trade cameras and see what happens.
Cheers,
Raid

Hey, Raid!
I've got a Kodak Signet
40 that I'd be glad to send to anyone who wants to try it out! Exposure is by "guestimate", and you have to cock the shutter before you shoot, but it actually takes decent pictures! I don't think it's of enough value that anyone would want to swap, but I'd be happy to lend/donate. It's actually what brought me back to RF shooting.
Anybody who wants it, let me know. We can work out shipping details depending on where the recipient lives.
Regards!

I've got a non-working GSN. Anyone who's into fixing cameras want to repair it for me? I'll gladly trade it for a camera from your collection.

I have an olympus trip that I would put on offer - any takers?

I have a j-8 with a cool 1A filter I dont need. I would happily trade it for an intresting fixed lens toy(scale focus) or I61LD.

I also found a zenit I could throw into the mix.

I've got an Olympus 35RC, CLA'd by Greyhound man. Unfortunately, the RF was misaligned during shipping (there was a huge dent on the side of the box, and it didn't take me long to find out what happened).
I'd be glad to get in the swap, but as this is the only fixed-lens RF I have it doesn't look too good for me.

I'm in ywenz' boat to some degree. I have a Minolta Hi-Matic 7 & a Yashica GSN both of which are broken. The Minolta's shutter doesn't seem to cock & the GSN somehow came apart on the lens barrel at the self timer.
Beyond that I do have some others I don't use very much like a Petri 7s 2.8 & Racer. Also a Yashica GT that sits because my replacement GSN has a hot shoe & is therefore more useful for my one battery adapter.
For SLRs I have a Fujica screwmount with a 55mm lens on it. I'd love to get a wide angle lens for that if anyone wants to work a deal based on all this info.

I have an old Nikkormat FTN needs seals, meter doesn't work, and mirror does lock up occassionally (very occassionally). Appears to be repairable. Body is clean. Lens is a 50mm F2.0 (Nikon non-Ai.). & a Zeiss Ikon Symbolica (Idiotica) II with a nice case. I'm not sure about its meter. Konica S2 sounds good to me if it is ready to shoot.

EEEeeekk!! How could you do that!
And where were you when I was asking a few days ago who else had Fujicas? Which one do you have? And, no I am not into trading any of my Fujica gear.

Let me take a look at my office to see what wasn't borrowed for the summer and I'll join in!

Finally at home...
Very nice idea, Raid.
But I'm afraid as far as I am concerned the transatlantic shipping costs will spoil the fun of it. Even the continental insured shipping from Germany is rather expensive for a swap. :-(
