Hi!

I will be in London in September. Won't have to much time to shoot, though.
Is there anything new that I need to see?

(I have lived one hour away in 1995/96 and went to London quite often.)

Any hints appreciated...

I'm going to London in september and I noticed that on the 16/17th it is London open house, might be worth it to check out some of the buildings that don't allow photography, although there probably will be huge lines if its anything like open house in australia.

What are looking to see?

Exhibitions, buildings etc?

Thomas Struth's exhibition at the Whitechapel has been getting good reviews. Also Ron Arad has an installation at the Roundhouse that might still be on.

Sit John Soane's house in Lincolns Inn Fields is worth a visit if you've never been.

Thanks, gentlemen.
What I meant was a place that offers some new "views" in London.

I was thinking about Postman's Park and combine it with St. Pauls (still my favourite church in London)... or perhaps Berwick Street Market for some street shots.

Kent, you won't be allowed to photograph inside St Pauls now - Westminster Abbey has also banned photography inside. I guess the problem is with digicams' flashes that had become very intrusive. Pre-digital, most photos would have been taken without flash and no-one complained.

The modern buildings are always worth a look - as has already been mentioned, the Gherkin in St Mary's Axe and the Shard by the Thames. A walk through the City is always full of opportunities, but watch out for over zealous security 'operatives' claiming that you can't photograph their buildings! You can also shoot in some of the museums I think - Tate Modern allows photographs in the Turbine Hall. Somerset House on the Embankment often has some interesting exhibitions too.

Enjoy!
