Interesting. But for $650 I can buy a couple of used 20mm lenses for my Nikon, and probably have better quality. Still, I wish Lomography good luck. They do help keep the film business active.

I checked eBay. Prices have already risen for these.

Lomography lens on an M... blasphemy.

Over $200 less, AND it's a stop faster and comes with a viewfinder.

Lomography lens on an M... blasphemy.
Naaa. Just a rebranded lens. And an M is just a camera. Sometimes the Russians had innovation that Leitz never did, like affordable Topogon and Biogon lenses with better coatings than the originals. All tools just the same; some are better than others but if the end result is decent, nobody will know what kind of lens the image was shot with. Unless, of course, the use of the camera and lens itself is the exercise, not photography; in which case there is no sense in loading it with film or wasting battery power, in the case of a digital M.

The Skopar is a wonderful little lens. I think people will buy the Russar for its "unique" qualities.

I'm sure they will.

An obvious next step for someone who has already purchased a special "Jack White edition" Holga for $108 and a Lubitel+ for $349 from that website.

Price aside, it is neat to have these hit and miss Russian made lenses again for those who want them.

Nice to have on the market, sure, but the price is way too high. If I was looking in that wide angle range, I wouldn't go any further than CameraQuest or the RFF classifieds for one of the Voigtlanders. I love FSU gear, but only at a price..TW

What a bargain! OK, so I've got the Zuiko 15/8, but that only cost me £50.

How long do we have to wait for this company to reissue the Jupiter 3 lens for 900 dollars?
Shimmed to Leica standard would cost 200 dollars extra.

Lomo does some delightful things on occasion. But deary me, that sure isn't a cheap lens. Heck, it's 50 euros more then what I paid for my Canon 70-200 L series…
If you're spending that much, surely you can find another nice alternative. And if you're doing adapter on mirrorless, options increase tenfold still.
But, more power to them that they're willing to do such a silly thing.

Here is something fundamentally wrong with price tag for lomography gear at $650.
Also not all of us might want "Made in Russia" product at this moment...

I don't know, is it right to punish a lens manufacturer because of certain actions by it's government?
And yes, it's overpriced like hell...

Russian lens prices go up hand in hand with Russian gas prices (at least to some consumers)...

I bought my LTM 21mm f4 CV w/vf from a neighbor in our building about 4 years ago for $260. It was in like new condition. I just think $650 (and without a VF yet) is a bit spendy. I notice Fedka has a EX condition used one with the VF for $625 right now.

WOW! In that case, my Russar and finder would be a real bargain for anyone with a CV 21 to trade!
Cheers,
