it has come to putting out an apb for a cheap 90mm lens that will fit my m3.
an elmar or minolta 90/4 would be ideal. glass is more important than chrome at this point but cost will be the deciding factor.
my neurosis dictates that i have a 90 for the m3.
i know i could use the 100 canon but i want that lens for the p kit.
if you really need to know i can give you the number to my therapist...
many thanks for looking into your junk drawers for me.

If you're not looking for a 'period' lens, it's hard to find a nicer 90 than the CV 90/3.5, IMO.

at this point in time my preference would be an old leica lens but i am fairly flakey these days so who knows where it all will end.

Don't know what it will go for but it's cheap at the moment. It depends on the "slight fogging"

Oh no, then he'll need to buy a Bessa.

Joe, I'm cheap, but I'm only 53. Is there a rush?

joe, what about a J9 ? If you grab a good one you get a super lens. f/2 !

Another vote for the Apo-Lanthar, Joe. I doubt you could beat its performance anywhere near the price. This is the one CV lens I have no intention of selling.

How cheap is cheap? If you can find a used M hexanon, I would get that. I was comparing mine to the 90 TE and it beat the TE at every aperture, and it is just about the same size. It's a killer lens.

fair enough. I bought the hexanon for 400 new in Japan on closeout, but I have not seen many used, so I am not sure how they go for. If you can find one under 200, grab it with no hesitations whatsoever...

Hey, me too!
I want one about the same vintage as my M3, no major working flaws, under $200.
Is that a pig I see flying by?

It wasn't meant to be nasty. Sorry if it sounded that way.
I'm not paid well either, if that makes it any better. I must be looking in the wrong places.

I bought a nice elmar LTM for $90. I was looking on his site the other day and there were a couple of good ones for around that price.
