Without the bendy legs, obviously.
I've been using a Gorillapod for macro shots and really appreciate its features (namely, a ball joint head, level, quick release and sturdiness).
However, its only about a foot high and the only way I can frame for, say, landscapes is by crawling in the mud which is less than ideal.
So I'm looking for an afforable higher (4' ish) tripod with roughly the same features (or at the very least the ball joint head). What brands should I be looking at? What should I budget for to get a tripod that will last under light use?
