for those who earlier had expressed an interest ...i can't remember who else was interested in the wrist strap designer had on his camera but i emailed the seller and received 2 replies.
the first said they were on vacation.
the second said this...

Hi Joe ,
I have a few left from our last production. I can sell you one for $34.50
including shipping. Unfortunately, they can't be purchased directly from the
website. I have been using PayPal with good results. If that works for you,
let me know. My payPal "address" is the same as the email:
pepe3@bellatlantic.net.
If you order it, I will send along an extra set of nickel plated brass split
rings. They should be a lot more gentle on the strap lugs of your Leicas.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Seth

i ordered one and will be paying by money order,(fyi, in case you also don't use paypal).

thought you guys might want to know.

i might have spoken too soon, another email from m classics...

I am afraid I am about all sold out of these.
I have only a couple of them left to sell. I had a big run on them and will
certainly put one aside for you. I have been focusing on our new bag
production.
This latest version of our M Classics bag is the best so far. We spent lots
of time in the materials upgrade and have just begun getting some off the
workbenches.
They are designed for rangefinder cameras. They don't fit a SLR cmarea and
really are designed for speed and access. If you are familiar with Leica
style street shooting, the bag is a perfect tool.
I am not sure when I will get more of the wrist straps into production,
perhaps in the next 60 days.
Thanks again,
Seth

thanks keven.
i ordered one and hope i like it. it looks like what i have been thinking in my head, exactly.
i was tempted to order 2 but decided to wait. eventually i want one for each camera if they work as good as they look.
how do you rate them?

joe

Joe,

Personally I prefer some thicker wrist strap. This one is O.K. for me, at least thicker than what I could find locally.
I've also tried putting a Nikon wrist strap on my R2, it seems not bad. :)

thicker?
do you mean wider or a heavier material?

what i use now are home made one from old neck straps so this one looks pretty wonderful to me.

Yes, I mean wider, joe. :p

Keven

thanks for clearing that up.
i think i can live with that as some of mine now are narrow.

guess i'll see when it arrives.
