Real men use B+W
Hi All,
I was just posting a message on the LTM forum about a scan of a Leica IIIc review from a 1941 English camera magazine that I've added to my website when I realised that I forgot to let this forum know that there's a lot of M stuff there as well.
If you go to http://photography-matters.blogspot.com/ and look under the "retro literature" tab you'll find the following catalogues:
The Leica System 1953
Leica M3 1954
Leica M3 1960
Leica M2 1960
Leica Filters 1960
Leica M4 1971
Leica M5 1971
Leica CL 1973 (small)
Leica CL 1973
Leica M4-2
Sorry for the omission!
Cheers,
Bruce

Without wishing to be pedantic, it's a good idea to call and get permission (normally freely given) before doing this sort of thing. Technically it is a infringement of copyrght and although (as I say) permission is normally freely given, you only need one person to cut up funny...
At the very least, always give the fullest possible credit to the author.

Roger,
That's a good point. I'll try in future to make contact with the author but in the case of Miniature Camera Magazine and war-time issues, I suspect all the journalists are long since dead. When I'm scanning articles from magazines, my policy is to try only to use stuff from those publications that are defunct. I wouldn't, for instance, knowingly put something on my website that was in Amateur Photographer, no matter how long ago it appeared.
BTW, I got a copy of your and Frances's Black and White Handbook at Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Regards,
Bruce
