oh man!
i just did my nightly perusal of what got put up for auction on today's oh boy.

lot's of canon, including the 25 and a 28/2.8 and some nikkor glass also.

i'm not gonna add a link cause i just wanted to share my excitement but i don't want any of you to look at it or worse yet, bid on any of it.

it's all mine buhahahaha ;)

and a black p too!

I hate being stuck at work when these posts come up. I can access RFF, but ebay is blocked! Something to look for tonight.

Hard to tell, really. There's been some strange bidding on ebay lately. An example is a Leica IIIf RD ST that was bid on 27 times and one fellow had run it up $2 - $8 at a time for 22 bids!!He was obviously chasingr the high bidder's top price. The funny thing is that after 24 bids the price was all the way up to $101.00!!! It's now 28 bids and sitting at $256 but I'm betting that in the condition this body is, it'll go for over $500 and possibly reach $600. I watched several Leica auctions over the weekend with similar bidding patterns and each was won by a sniper who didn't show his hand until the final few seconds.

I doubt that the total number of RFF'ers who might be interested in any particular item would alone be ab;e "run up the price" of an item lited on an auction site with the market breadth and depth of eBay!
 
...and...most anyone who is interested in that gear is/has/will be looking already.

besides it's just a nice thing we do for each other 'round here.

Absolutely.

While your HU about the Nikkor glass got me to look now - I check the listings every evening (after all - there are rarely more than 50 total Nikon RF listings at any one time).

But I do appreciate the HU - I'm now "watching" some of that glass. ;)
