Loupe App for iOS

I stumbled upon this:

„Light Box Loupe“ von Professional Visualization, Inc.

Had to try it, seems to work. Maybe it is of some use for other RFFers. No association to the developer, of course.
Greetings, Klaus.

That's nice! Makes the iPad mini and iPhone 6 into a handy negative inspection tool. Not a bad dollar spent.

How much does it magnify? I've used the camera on my iPhone as a field-expedient magnifier to read things like the fine print on pharmaceutical bottles (eyesight going, I'm afraid).

Very nice indeed. And it seems from the Petapixel review he's working on getting it to work with C41 too. Thanks for posting.

To be honest, I don't know the technically correct answer. I think it depends on the output device. All I can tell is it shows a 35mm negative covering ca. 90% of my iPad Air 2.

What I'm missing is some sort of "hold" button or "save to photos", that would make its use easier.

On the iPhone camera app you can zoom in on an object, it stays zoomed in and adjusts focus when moved and you can capture the image if required. Would this work?
