I won a Vitomatic I on eBay for $11.50, an absolute jewel with a box proclaiming "Voigtlander 1757-1957". The camera is about 50 years old, but everything is working, and working well. Let's hear it for Prontor shutters and selenium light meters.

Italian Street Painting Festival
The stree painting festival was this weekend and it is always a great place for pictures.
The following pictures were on an old roll of Superia 200, using the settings from the very nice coupled selenium meter.
It's a very stealthy camera. I took two frames of the two women from 4 feet away and they didn't notice.

The best camera is one that still works!
Lovely colours in your shots. I bought a Vito CLR a while ago off eBay for about $25.00 which also has the Color Skopar lens and was blown away the first time I used it.
They're a homely little beast but really are a very good camera ... mine has the front mounted shutter button which can be a little weird at first!

Cool! Love the shots. I picked up a Vitoret off the bay about a month ago for $12.00 with the shipping. Sweet little cameras. I carry mine about quite a bit.

They are quite a surprise for an FSU enthusiast aren't they?
From the same era as some of the FEDs and Zorkis, they are amazingly well made.

Well I don't have any FSU cameras, except for one plastic Smena 6, but the Voigtlander is pure German engineering.
It's a little jewel. The finish and detailing is beautiful, and even better looking than a Zeiss Contina II which I recently purchased.
The next roll of film will be thru the Contina. Both shutters appear to be just fine! Pretty good for a 50 year old camera that has probably never been serviced. Let's hear it for Prontor shutters.
