I don't know my Leica history as I'd like, but this listing had warning klaxons going off in the back of my head...loudly.

My guess...Tom is saying "lp" to mean "help" because he is throwing himself into the fraw to win a very nice flat top :D or definitely qualifies as Leica Porn. Those pics are really beautiful...definitely something to be said for that. Very thoughtfully presented.

looks nice. Does look legitimate on the first look. I guess sometimes people get too paranoid with ebay. I never had a deal gone bad myself. Pictures are good quality, description sounds informed and this is obviously not his first camera sale. If in doubt, just ask some standard questions like pick-up option or more detailed questions.
 
langdon was right on. really sweet pics. i did put a bid in just because no one else had yet, and i didn't meet reserve, so we'll see where it goes. i know my limits and doubt if i'll stay in on this one, so anyone interested, don't worry about me either not getting it or bidding to drive the price up.

Barrett, what triggers those warning signals going off?

The seller has 100% over 34 sales.
Last sale was also for a Leica item - to someone with 100+ feedbacks.
The seller accepts Paypal.
The photos are nice and sharp.
The seller has been registered since 1999.
The seller has both sell and buy feedback.
The seller updated his account last time in 2003.

What am I missing?
