LR3 Won't import Raw files?

I've been having a really weird bug where LR3 won't import raw files from my Nikon d200. It will open older files taken with the same camera, but it seems to have difficulty with the last 200 files I have taken. I am currently rendering a few to .dng to see if they open in LR3

Bridge CS5 / Photoshop CS5 open the files just fine. So weird.

Does it 'see' them on the import dialogue or there is nothing at all?
Or will it 'see' them but not import them?
Incidentally my LR3 is working OK with D200 .nef files. (No consolation I know).

Can't import dng files scanned with Vuescan either with LR3
