I am looking for the leitz 28 / 50 adapter as I have both in ltm. Can I 6 bit code for both lenses on the same adapter or do I have to have 2 adapters?

I got a serenar 28 3.5 and a radioactive summicron in ltm

What do I code the adapters to?
should I get 2 adapters and code each separately?

Or is coding not really necessary. ...

50mm and 75mm use the same adapter. 28mm is paired with 90mm. So, you need separate adapters anyway just to get the right framelines.

Those adapters you found were made for the M3 and M2, which did not have either 28 or 75 frames. They were marked 28/50 so that putting on a 28 brought up the 50 frames, since there was no 28mm frames on any Leica until the M4P.

And the original adapters cannot be used on the M 240. Should you ever upgrade, you would have to get other ones. Better simply get the Voigtlander ones from our Bartender.

Why is that? There are two types of CV adapters, both are not compatible with the 240?

I think he means the early Leitz adapters won't work and the CV ones will. That is something I don't know about; I used my adapters on a pair of M6 bodies, not the digital ones.

Adapters with a cutout for infinity lock give problems with the lens code recognition sensor diodes on the M typ 240.

Not only because of the frame lines but since the 6-bit code for both lens is different you will need two adapters.
