Guy Berryman from Coldplay with what seems to be an M8

that seems to be the case haha didn't realize nobody around here listens to contemporary rock music

Yes -- for those who don't know, Coldplay is a very popular death-metal band from Norway. They worship Satan and were prosecuted for burning churches.

pop culture and the clueless

back in the bad old '60's, my father was an atypical college student, returning to collge after the army, starting a family, etc.; clueless about the youth culture he was in the midst of.

he worked his way thru school working for a moving van company. one day, his crew cleaned out the apartment of a young lady who had become critically ill, and moved back home. a group of students were hanging around, watching. he was aproached by a polite young Englishman, who inquired about the girl.

afterwards, my father was aproached by a wide-eyed co-ed - "do you know who you just talked to?"

"No"

"one of the Rolling Stones!"

my father's clueless response - "the who?"

Hehe, yeah they have that really hard edge sound :) Alice Cooper crosses the street when he sees these guys...

Andy Summers, [guitarist for this band called the Police, for those under 30...] also a published photographer, wielding his black M8 in Tokyo during a book signing before the Police concert that evening.

Very cool. I have a signed copy of his book of photographs 'Throb' from the mid-80s.

I once saw someone who claimed they had seen an autograph of Yul Brunner, but I was never able to verify it. But it could have been, I think.
