M-E with Rokkor 40/2 on our town velodrome. World Cup competition.
Local brewery made special beer for this event.
It was crowded with DSLR owners, I was the only one with something without mirror. Well, except people with mobile phones

Nice stuff.
Used to race for Schwinn back in the 1980's and loved riding the track. Looks like a board track. Very cool.
Best,

Nice shots Ko.Fe. I had the 40 Summicron version for a while and thought it a very good and super-compact lens. It works well on the M-E from the look of those images.

Thank you, Tim and John!
The lens works well on M-E and even more well on film M for bw. It is openly sharp. Summicron 50 IV I have as well is hidden sharp...

Thanx for posting. Nice set. Gives a nice feel of the event.

Love the second one Kostya, it gives the sense of the steepness that is hard to capture, and the concentration in the riders faces waiting to get slung into the action. My favourite track event. Excellent.

Nice series, I agree with Michael: N° 2 is very strong, much tension in it.
Well done, but...is it the camera or the photographer ?
robert
PS: to answer my own question I think both

Thank you, David, Joe, Roel, Michael and thank you, Robert!
It is both for sure. I went with our youngest daughter and mother-in-law to this event. We didn't stayed for long and I went around with my daughter only couple of times. What I noticed, all from DSLR crowd were not interested in telling it as the story. I do have one good and sufficient DSLR, I could get more modern one with clean 12800 ISO , still have pro AF DLSR lenses, but I was only one with not DSLR and one and only taking pictures outside of the track... Yet, not the only one who was drinking beer
