Last December I went for a very short holiday to Egypt and, besides my newly acquired digital MF rig (P1 645AF with the P45+) I of course brought my film Ms looking for some reportage/PJ work. I posted some MF stuff in the MF gallery for those interested; here it comes the M work, all done with a M2 and a 28mm Summicron on Kodak Double-X processed in 510-Pyro and scanned on a Flextight X5.

Hope you enjoyed, as always C&C are most welcome!

Those are great shots. Really captures a sense of street life.

I'm envious; can't wait until I get to Egypt one of these days.

Davvero Complimenti!! 🙂

really strong shots - thanks for sharing these!

Great pictures and i like your processing!!

Ha, I just saw it on the DPR Leica forum. You have just impressed me twice in an hour. Great captures!

It's my first time I heard of the combo you used. Can the Kodak Double X still be obtained?

Thank you very much guys, am glad you enjoyed 😀 About Double-X, a.k.a. Eastman 5222, is obtainable directly from Kodak and from some retailers too; unfortunately though it is not available where I live, so I get my supply from a fellow forum member who is kind enough to share when he orders for himself. If you are based in the US it should be pretty easy to get though 😀

Fine work. Given my belief that any good camera can take good pictures, I have to grant that the M2 and Summicron 28 are a good combination. But that is saying nothing new. I shall add that here the lens has been used with skill so that the pictures do not seem to have been taken with what was once the widest field of view available.
