hey all...i'm borrowing an m3 from the LCS and have been comparing it to my m2 and m4p....i didn't think it would be that big of a difference in handling (which it isn't really) but the finder is noticeably suited for the 50mm

the 50mm, for me atleast, feels wider on the m3...probably because the view is magnified and takes up the same viewing area as the 35mm on my m2 and m4p...

when i have a 50 on my m2 and m4, the 50 looks too tight (when compared to the m3/50 combo), more a short tele than a normal lens...when the 50 is on an m3, it has more breathing room and is easier to focus with the higher mag....

anyways, it seems to make sense for me now why the m3/50 combo is so popular

It is a perfect camera for those who use 50mm and longer lenses. To really appreciate the latter, put a 90mm lens on it. Ot just use the pre-view for the 90mm lines. Very useable.

Indeed. I'm most comfortable with the the 85mm on the M3, probably because the framelines take up a large portion of what I can see while shooting with my glasses on.

I'm thinking about having my optician make a couple of diopters for me so I can use the M2 and M3 without my specs: I'm sure it'd be quite a revelation.
