Hi All,

Does the M3 have bring up single framelines for each lens like the M2 or does is bring up multiple for some lenses more like an M6 would?

Thanks,

Jim

50mm is always there, thick and beautiful, with rounded corners, similar to an old Kodak slide frame.

Then there is 90 (when you use 90 or 28) and 135 (when you use 35 or 135), depending on the lens.

Yes, like a nightmare... :D

Sorry Ferider, I never considered one of those Baroque things after seeing that and the blue tint!!!

M2 is superb, though. Wonderful.

Well yeah, we all are different .... what's with the Baroque avatar, anyways ? :)

I like the rounded corners because they help in framing. Use the inside for close focus, the outside for infinity. To the OP, they look like this:

The 50 frame lines should not be there always, but in practice they are not a bother. Pity that Leitz forgot, with the M4, what it had learnt with the M2.

hello again, got another question. do the frames and dot in VF are visible always or only with lens attached? know it`s silly but I`m waiting for LTM adapter and cant check it.

50 frames are always visible - that is the default with no lens attached. To see other frames, use the selector next to the lens mount.

The 50mm framelines are always present on a standard M3. There are M3 cameras that have been modified with different viewfinders, like from an M2. They can be installed by a good repair technician.
