From the M4-P with the 50/2 Jupiter-8 lens and Kodak BW400CN film, scans again by Walgreens, touched up in Lightzone:

Bagging The Greens, Old Cheney Farmers' Market, May 9, 2010

Wise Oven Bakery, Old Cheney Farmers' Market, May 9, 2010

I dare say, what a great combo and a genuine delight to use!!!

VERY nice images! That lens is serving you well! I'm going to get mine back out and give it another try. Thanks for posting these.

Thanks, Jamie!!! I am so thrilled with my Jupiter-8; it's right up there with my Summaron 35/3.5 as a favorite.

Excellent photos Maggie. I really like them. They do appear to have too much pp sharpening applied (viewed on 2 different monitor setups) - I'd take your negatives and have them scanned at a Costco, seriously!

I'm getting a film scanner of my own, since there is no Costco in town and the local photo shop is staffed by idiots who can't even run a minilab to save their life.

So, I did my own scan of some of the farmer's market pix with a friend's Nikon Coolscan V ED and here they are:

Wow, Maggie, much much better. The skin tones, hair detail, and the overall images are just great. And, they are still super sharp. You have a great setup, and are focusing perfect, much better than I usually do.
