I read on the Cameraquest website that the DR Summicron won't fit the older Leica M6 which has no cutouts on the shroud behind the flange.
I am considering an M6 (the dark side here i come:bang🙂 so I am curious as to whether this problem only occurs with the DR Summicron or whether there are other lenses which will not mount. My main concerns are collapsible lens and the notorious Jupiter-12 35mm (the guy with the large bum).
Finally, can I just send my M6 to Leica and ask them to replace the shroud? Is that going to cost a fortune?
