Has anyone ever had or heard of the following issue/problem? My M7 is one setting off on the shutter speed dial. By this I mean that when I am set to "automatic" I get "B", when I am set to "1000" I get "automatic", etc. The dial is still as "tight" as the day I got the camera and the camera has been babied. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated as this is quite a disturbing development. 🙁

Tracey I have not heard of your problem previously. Was the dial always like this and is the camera under warranty?

There are three tiny screws in the side of the dial that presumably lock the dial to the spindle. If you want to do a home repair you might try loosening those and turning the dial to the "correct" speed then re-tightening.

If the cam is under warranty I would just send it into Leica and not mess with it.

Certainly send it in.

Or maybe such an odd quality control issue makes that camera a collector's item.

Sell it and buy two M7s.
