Not out of business. I guess he closed his retail store and now operates a more discrete operation. I called him when I was shopping for my M6. He was very polite and respectful, had a lot in stock to offer but was up front that he did not have exactly what I wanted and would only proceed when I asked him to offer some options. No hard sell, he offered his knowledge and some opinions and good luck in my search.
 
what sort of savings is he offering ad more importantly why is he offering them if the demand is so high? wouldn't such strong demand suggest that a premium would be required to acquire it??? i'm no economist but curious...

I have been slaving in spreadsheets all week, there is a full moon Saturday, my chakras are all misaligned, I need a little humor to help me through this week.

I have been buying Leica equipment from Ken since 1977 when he was on 34th Street. I bought my second Leica which died in two weeks from a dealer in Florida who could have cared less. Ken helped me get a replacement even though he did not sell me the defective camera. He is a great guy.

A gentleman and all around nice guy to deal with. Honest and of the highest integrity.

Just got a brand new black M8 from Ken with an extra battery at a great deal. Image number started at 0001! so I know for a fact that this camera came straight from Leica.

There's a thread on LUG about a guy that bought a camera from one of the NYC dealers that looks like someone tried to sandpaper the lens mount. Horrible.

Give Ken a shout if you're in the market for an M8. He'll give you a straight deal.
