Nice shots,
I've been usng the same filter on a cv 15mm on my M8... I haven't shot any living subjects though.

very nice photos. I haven't found people to be that interesting in IR, but the cat is very interesting, he's normally a very orange striped tabby, and he loses all that and turns white with the Hoya R72 filter.

True, all too true.

So, would a black cat shot with an IR pass filter on an M8 appear white? And if so, does that mean that without a filter, it would appear magenta?

Aye, there's the rub, so to speak. Are cats what they appear to be? Or are they a race of synthetic replicants, sent to establish an alien beachhead? Remember the ancient Egyptians had pictures of them in their PYRAMIDS...

Ladies and gentlemen, I present Exhibit A: Ampguy's cat.

the calumet salesman told me the I needed IR filters for my M8 even for B&W, b/c o/w the whites will glow ......... he doesnt know how much I like glow.......

interesting

interesting

Our black cat is not outdoors so much, but I'm very anxious to photograph him with the R72 filter now ...

well, it's something to do with orange fur. With the Hoya R72 filter, our grey/white tabby still shows his grey and white, while our orange and white tabby goes all white. weird.
