M9 and 5cm Elmar f3.5 Ltm

Just picked one of these lenses up today really for my M2, thought I would try it on my m9, of course it works fine and even tried collapsing it. But looking through the back of my m2 with the shutter open there can only be 1-2mm clearance to the shutter. So I'm thinking if it was on my M9 and got a knock it could do some damage.
Anyone using one on there M9 and are you quite confident?!!

I collapse my one into my M9P without issue. I did query this with RedDot Cameras and they said it'll be fine. The only advise they had was not to remove the lens while it's collapsed, which makes sense.

Don't rotate the lens when full collapses into the body.
