Unfortunately, no samples of ISO 1250 & 2500 shots.

Well I am not pro but it seems like high iso performance is not so birght? Look at the 15th photo....

I'd say they lifted the shadows a bit in that shot. High ISO performance looks pretty similar to my 5d from that church roof ISO1600 shot, just a bit of chroma noise which is easily removed with ACR or just about any raw converter - which is a big improvement from what I've seen from the m8. The 5d is no slouch. Remember that the m9 has more megapixels than the 5d as well.

+ Comparison with 1ds mkIII, D3x, A900 (looks really good for the m9)

I am impressed but I am not all so bugged about high iso performance, I used my Ricoh GRD at 1600 all the time and that was horrible yet several gallery exhibitions later and still not complaining...much.

The ISO 2500 is pretty noisy and soft viewed actual size in PS. Probably some heavy jpeg processing going on.

Look very good to me. In fact the clicks look like a FF, DRF Leica to me, imagine that ;^)

As someone else pointed out, the images look a lot like those from my 5D. Not a bad thing at all.

I hate to say it but I want this M9 a lot. The Olympus EP1 is the poor mans digital for M lenses, which mean me at the moment. I want that M9 though...maybe after the next few jobs......and some help from the credit card.....and selling off almost everything in the dry box....but I want it, gray looks cool too!

the files look good but they still look "digital."

Avotius, that's exactly the reaction Leica wants.

One thing I'm really impressed with on first glance is the color and the dynamic range of these photos - both of which seem to be very very impressive. Both aspects seem to edge out what I'm used to seeing from top of the line japanese DSLRS. Just look at the blues in the sky pics!

I'm with you right now Avotius... I'm looking at my car parked in the driveway and imagining me walking out of a shop with a new m9...

Good, I have wanted a full framed DRF since the last film lab closed in my city a couple years ago. Hell you cant even buy film here anymore and this is (allegedly) the largest city in the world.
I want.
