Hey folks, of the LTM lenses with infinity locks that require a Type I M-mount adapter, which ones don't work properly on an M9? I.e., I seem to recall that, with some of these lenses, the infinity lock/focus tab interferes with either the camera's lens release button or frame-line preview lever.

My current lenses that might have this issue are:

Nikkor 28/3.5 LTM
Nikkor 35/2.5 LTM
Nikkor 50/3.5 LTM

Anyone have experience with these (or with the Nikkor 25/4 LTM, which I'm still interested in getting one day) on the M9? And is it the same story on the M8?

Thanks,
Ari

RFFer Smitty has been having a similar issue with LTM Nikkors.
I never had a problem with my LTM Summaron f/3.5 so I'm thinking the thickness of the Nikon infinity lock on the lens flange side is greater than the Leica one. I think the lock interferes with the frameline preview lever.

Thanks for that, Phil. I found one of Smitty's threads, in which Roland gave some good info:

Seems that on Roland's M4P and M6, the frame-line preview lever is wide enough to interfere with the infinity lock tab on the Nikkor LTM 35/2.5. On his film cameras, he replaced the levers with M2/M3 parts. I wonder if that could be done on an M9, and whether the clearance would then be enough?
