Put up your hands this is a hijack.

Back Alley- I noticed your signature:
* 2007, to do list...
* improve my photos.
* process my film as i shoot it.
* initiate & complete photo projects . ?
Much as I love film that's exactly why I made the switch to digital- that said I too have unprocessed DNG files and SD Cards waiting for download. The more things change, the more they stay the same

my goal is to NOT use the patterson 8 reel tank this year.
unless, of course, i shoot 8 rolls of film on any one day.

The Grip
The Grip
Just a note of clarification.... The grip is an early early protype we were trying for fit on the M8. These are fun photos of a friend - not meant in any way to be product shots, etc.
Also somebody mentioned backfocus - no, done deliberately (shot wide open - point of focus is Tom not the grip) as I was not particulary focused or focusing on the grip.
Images were shot in low light with my 35mm F2 Zeiss Biogon or Tom's 50mm F1.4 ASPH, which is a beautiful lens. All images were shot DNG at 320 ISO. I use C1 PRO and JFI for black and white conversion...
Thank you looking. If Tom decides to produce the grip - it will be a winner.
Kind Regards. Terry.

Hi!
These are Terry's shots from our test session. Terry is a good friend and has volunteered his M8 for fitting purposes.
The "mock-up" grip is made by a process which uses laser and sand mixed with epoxy.
We were mainly trying to establish how it felt in the hand and the "bulk". It was decided to increase the height of the "handle" slightly and possibly to eliminate the slots in favor of grooves.
After all of this was done we all went out and had burgers, ginger beef and wine& beer. It is impossible to design without this! - Barnack the Cat was trying to get our attention as, according to him, we spent far too much time with this grip thing than on him!
Best for now to everybody,
