Sounds nice, been thinking a bit too much about getting a RD-1 or s my self, just have to agree with the main distributor of Epson in Norway about the price for a demo model, and it´s saving time or shopping-time depending on the offer
So every first user thoughts and observation are welcome

I own an RD-1 and it is a great camera, unfortunately the support is not very good.
My advice would be (if you can afford it at all) to rather go for the M8, you can be sure that you will be able to get it repaired evan after the warranty has expired.
With the RD-1 , after the 1st year, you will probably be on your own.
AFAIK Epson does not have a proper support police besides the 1 year warranty.

Ian,
I like the idea of a "support police".

Yes an M8 would be rather nice but the price is way out the league of a lowly aircraft engineer such as me, the amex is taking a bash for the RD1!!
It was either the RD1 or an M6 TTL, and im allready all digital SLR wise so the RD was the obvious choice.
