Great! I'm surprised at how narrow a DOF you get with this lens, on a crop sensor, at 35mm...nice work. I love that part of the world...

Great composition and tones! I am from New Orleans, LA and never really liked to shoot plantations probably because I've been to so many in LA, but you really gave me a lot of new ideas for my most likely future visits!

Very nice, I am considering the 35 1.2 for myself. It seems to perform well.

Ha, I hear ya been to a few-been to them all. Madewood kind of reminds be of Laurel Plantation. It still hold character, it's not all glitzed up like some of the others, the floors are worn, paint cracking. And where I shot the chair images has the old kitchen still intact.

Great shots. I've only been to New orleans once (for a conference) and was able to sneak out to oak alley. I absolutely loved the city and the people. Life seemed so slow and people seemed to enjoy every moment of it. And no i'am not talking about the drunken partying at bourbon street!!
