Just a couple of days ago I booked flights for me & my wife to Madrid for a week in beginning of November. As I haven't been in the city before, I was wondering if any of the forum members would have recommendations for a reasonably priced (+/- 100 eur/night) hotel with a central location, yet not too noisy?

Also, any recommendations on where to go, what so see & where to eat would be more than welcome!

Digging this back up, I'm leaving for Madrid on Friday morning for a few days of shooting and meeting a friend.. any tips on good spots?

For what you want to pay, you'll find a lot of hotels in the downtown but take a look at that place

No noise, confortable..i stay here few days in a trip with friends, and it's a really good place..

About where to go..Madrid is a great place for take pictures,
Plaza mayor, rastro (flea market) on sundays, La latina (for pinxos/tapas), Mercado de San miguel, Palacio real, Museo del Prado..

Sure some one from Madrid will give you better advise!;)

Thanks, I'll write them down for reference! I'm staying at my friends place, so I'm lucky I don't have to worry about a hotel :)
