Maintaining my identity as a photographer, for me based on current circumstances (long story) requires trying to shoot a roll or two of 120 film everyday. Rather than making more threads with new work, I thought it might make sense to make less threads and just post my street photography "journey" here. Well, it's worth a try. So here goes:

I think this will work nicely. Cris Crawford has a similar thread "Some new photos from Fort Wayne"

3/2015 On the streets of New York City, three men carried water.
A photographer shooting black and white 120 film recorded the moment. Solid.

Only the trolley and the girl's legs in the rain really work for me -- but they REALLY work. The street crossing sign (man on phone on left) comes close to the same standard, which is "Really good stuff that I don't find either too derivative or too obvious".
Don't take this as faint praise, 'cos it isn't.
Frances votes for the fireman. For me it's superbly done but more obvious.
Cheers,
R.

... yes, that last one with the trolly is poetic ... all the bits are reflections or echoes of some other part of the frame

I like the photo of the guy grooming the plant and the other one pushing the cart. On a side note, street photography with a Rollei is difficult. I would personally prefer a rangefinder - Bronica RF is great, or if you want square, maybe Mamiya 6 or Bessa III. Also, I find medium format Tmax a bit too clean for street, Tri X or HP5 win in my book.

thanks Dan for starting this thread. My favourites so far are the fireman, and the man pushing the cart, followed by the child with the umbrella and the three men with water bottles. I have great respect for your ability to make these shots with a TLR. Looking forward to regularly visiting this thread.

I like Dans work. Maiers also did some interesting things with a Rolleiflex. Why not clean. especially if everyone else is doing it not so clean.
I like the phones and the legs to as well as other mentioned.

Thanks for the feedback.
I posted this photo for the sake of weirdness, not craft. Shot a week or two ago on 8th Avenue and West 43rd Street. It was some sort of publicity for Dark Dynasty K9s. Very difficult lighting and flow of movement.
