hi all, new on here. Just bought a Mamiya 6 body, and awaiting lens off Ebay. Any advice appreciated. Am I correct in saying the camera wont fire without a lens??

Yep as tj01 said, there is nothing in the camera to fire without the lens. This is considering that it is an RF and needs no mirror box to get in the way of the film plane.

If you enjoy the 28mm perspective, the 50mm/4 is one of the best I've used. Also, when you get your lens and want to test/dry fire it, you have to have the back open to do so. The shutter will not release with the back closed. Also keep an eye on the 120 or 220 indicator on the back as there were times I forgot to set the pressure plate to 220; also have to be used on this setting with 135 film for the panoramic kit. Good luck with your new camera. It is one of the best 6x6 RF MF cameras out there.
