What is the difference between a Mamiya 7 and a 7 II?

the straps are on one side of the 7. the 7II also feels a lot better in your hand. you almost forget how plastic it is. but maybe its just because ive only used newer 7II's and old beat up 7's. im sure there's some structural differences to make the 7II stronger?

There is also another difference between the I and II. That's the curtain closing handle. You have to put the handle (II) in upright position for an easier closing of the curtain. Also the depth of the body (II) is 3mm smaller to be precise. The exposure compensation knob is rounded (II) instead square (I). But the most important upgrade is the Multi-exposure facility and the improved Viewfinder.
