I just read another thread about broken LCD and it listed the possible reasons: broken swivel switch or blown LCD fuse.
I figured that it could not hurt if I remove a few screws and see if I can find the fuse or switch.
I gave up realizing that I would have to pretty much disassemble the whole body to remove one inaccessible LCD screw. Put everything back together put the battery back in and switched it on.
THE DARN LCD CAME BACK TO LIFE!!!!!!!!!
There must be a little switch right at the swivel, which got realigned by my messing with the LCD.
I feel lucky!!! All this on a Monday morning with the stock market tumbling again and me suffering from a hangover!
