Hello everyone!

Its that time of year again, the time when spring starts to rear its brown muddy head, and here in Michigan it means 60F one day, and 18F the next!

What else? Its my Birthday in a few weeks! Photorama on the 13th!

Oh but best of all? Its Nikon Rangefinder Month here at RFF!

Dust em off, load em up, and shoot the **** out of em.

This year Ive graduated from a S2 to a SP (Thanks again Al!) and will be shooting both a 50/1.4 and 35/3.5, with GAF Super Hypan loaded.


Lets use this thread to chat about our gear, post photo's, and general goofing off!

So get the coffee pot warmed up, take a seat, and drop a few comments!
 
Hmmm... looks like the best moment to offer my Nikon S2 for sale... after burning the last roll! :)

I did participate (privately) in this event last year. Problem: the roll is still undeveloped. I think I'll use a different type of roll this time.

It would be a great time to post a kit for sale!

I too still have undeveloped films from last year! No shame!

Edit: I just sold a Nikkor-S.C 50/1.4 in the classifieds within minutes of posting! So ide have high hopes for you selling your kit!
 
Same here; I loaded my S2 with Tri-X over a year ago and its still in there, probably 1/3 remaining. I've since taken a liking to Ilford XP2 so I should probably load some in the old S2...
 
I've got some Ektar in my SP. I've had the SP for about a year and it's a fine camera but I also really like my Nikon S that I bought in 1972 for $100 with four Nikon cassettes. May have to put a roll thru it also. Joe

Wow ain't that the truth! I have everything there except the 85 (and the viewfinders) but if I add up what I paid for the whole thing its way more than 1200. And mine's not even a BD!
 
Looking forward to putting a few rolls through the S2 and SP this month. My Black SP is currently on it's way back from getting a DAG overhaul. I'll try to post a photo of what I'll be shooting with this month when it arrives.
 
Whoa! Even in the clean-up mood I felt like I should have bid on that listing! That was a major deal!

OTOH... good that I didn't see it.

I'll try to load my S2 with some Fuji ISO 200 today. It's going to be a snowy, cold day, but heck, Monday's supposed to be a lot warmer, so I won't finish the entire roll.
 
Right, I too have been in a "clean up" the last year or so. I still have more to go, and purchases have been slim to none recently. In fact, I have such a backlog of undeveloped film, that it stretches back into 2014 now!
 
All I have is an 85/2, a Varifinder, some film holders, and some leather lens cases I've picked up here or there. Hopefully before the year is out I'll have a camera too. Then I can join you guys next year.
