I just tried out a 50mmF1.5 Sonnar on my Bessa R3 with the Contax to M Adaptor from the guy in South America. I was blown away by the close up shots of my kids at the bagel shop. Unfortunately, I am not sure if I shot wide open or down a stop, but the results were still quite impressive. Nice contrast and bokeh. Some of my landscape shots were disappointing- they may have been out of focus as I was wearing my polarised sunglasses which makes focussing a bit difficult.
This weekend I intend to do a more formal trial including infinity testing and with different lenses to test the adaptor. I was hoping it was calibrated for my Nikon lenses, but most would agree it probably wasn't.

Same here, let me know of your experiences with it. I have that same lens and I'm seriously thinking on either letting it go or grab the adapter.
Is this the seller from Argentina that you guys bought from? If you don't mind, what was the final price for them?

I think I paid about $270 shipped, but I had the $25 off coupon. This puts me in the middle of the pack as some have gone over $300. I'll try to get something posted this weekend.
Why am I being squished again?

I had to calibrate my Sonnars in order to use it with the adapter, perhaps that explains the oof landscape shots...
