Anyone using this lens? I what do you think of it? One available locally for £30 so any experience with it before handing in my cash?

Great lens, I have two of them.
I believe the lens first came out in 1964 and it was always a preset design, no auto aperture stop-down.
It it imprints its own signature style to the photos and it has a very pleasing style well worth the asking price even when compared to the legendary Zeiss or Schneider wide angle lenses that sell for high prices .

It's a real classic in my view and 30 pounds is a good price.

Went back to buy it. A couple of screws missing and the lens barrel and focusing scale did not align. Someone had been in there it seems. I didn't buy it.

It is not a rare or expensive lens, especially in M42 mount and in the UK.
You will run into many good and unmolested examples for sale if you search them out.

Thank you for this. I often buy things I know have been molested, thinking I can solve the problems, only to find I'm not the mechanic I envision.

Same here. I think I learned from past experience.
