I'd love to hear your thoughts and comments about this as well.
Untitled-1.jpg

It's part of the same project as previous landscape I posted here. And most likely part of the same exhibition in future.

Hi, interesting idea, and I think it works as it is :)

I suspect the hard part is to pick which image goes in the middle and why. Besides being in focus, the coffee, I assume, also relates to "mental clarity". However, it seems disconnected to the two images on the side... what if the coffee mug also had trees painted on it? What about playing with "spiritual clarity"? If you're a landscape photographer, what about an image of isolated church in a rural setting?

I apologize in advance if I'm way off base.

The two hazy shots are really, really good, although I must say the coffee mug shot is not my cup of tea (no pun intended, although I am quite pleased with it).

I really like this triptych. It is up to a viewer to interpret these seemingly unconnected images.

To me, it looks like an effect my morning cup of coffee would have on me. Sometimes.
Leaving me as sleepy, as I was before I had it. ;)

Interesting...I notice that the cup is seemingly empty so it could be anything from brandy to herbal tea...one assumes coffee just by the shape of the cup...(I don't drink coffee)
The hazy prints on either side could take away from the viewer looking at the middle shot...if they weren't as unclear, giving the viewer enough to move on might present a stronger presentation...(It could be my screen but I don't see too much in there...)
I like the idea overall...

It might be interesting if the hazy shots were blurry views from around the house/kitchen. Something more likely to be seen before having a cup of coffee. And as Sam mentioned, less indistinct than the foggy shots you used.

Wow, plenty of comments. Thanks for all of your participation.

The middle one was meant as a point where you have time to think, time to be and clarity. Where haze communicates all kinds of spiritual, physical and emotional haziness. I don't consider my self as landscape photographer, although I seem to take plenty of those. My people work is also coming to the same show, but they at least try to be in same spirit as these photos. (will be posting one small series and one pair later on for your comments, since they do seem to give me insight and make me stronger, helping me along).

Good thoughts here. Center one couldn't be a church for me, but it could become meditation photo, or crystal clear lake (although I do wish to keep human involved in it).

It's good to see different interpretations. It does help me to see these with new set of eyes.

I my self consider that fog both soothing, calming and spiritual. But at the same time scary and completely devastating (as I've experienced it both on sea as well as on mountains in Lapland). So that tension is for me, big part of those foggy pictures, haze of mind.

Thanks for comments, I'll be posting a new thread on my human subjects.
