Hey all,
Just bought a Minolta CLE and trying to have a go with using it with flash. But I can't quite figure it out.
I put my SunPak Auto14 on it - set it to 60 (the sync speed as far as I know) and it won't fire! It fires on everything from 30-B but nothing 60 and above.
Does anybody know if this is usual? I have been reading the manual, which states that manual flash should be used at 60. Wanted to make sure if this is typical or if there is a problem with my particular CLE.
I am thinking of buying a Minolta X-series flash in order to be able to use it with TTL flash. Would this help?
Also - when I shoot in A, it does fire everytime - but the shutter speeds sound a bit off from what I assume they should be. (e.g. I metered for 1/60 f8 - and it chose a 2 seconds even with the flash on)

i did use the minolta X flashes, they are very cheap a few euros, i would not hesitate.
the original CLE Flash is expensive -> no need.
you have to try.
