Hi
Had the Multi Scan working OK on my previous laptop running XP.
Now got one running windows 7 (32 bit)
When it initially installed the driver it thought it was a Scanner 2887 IEEE 1394 SBP2 Device . How do I get it to reconisge it as the correct scanner
Any help much appreciated

I've had a multi pro working fine on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. I am a Vuescan user, but apparently even if you're not, installing the Vuescan trial and letting Vuescan install its driver may help to get it working with the Minolta software.
If it works, my vote goes for buying Vuescan

Downloading the trial of Vuescan on my Windows 7 computer caused my Minolta Dimage 5400 to start working. Don't know how that works, but it apparently does work for many people.

Hmmmm ... I wonder if this would work on the SD IV?
Anyone tried it?

If you are referring to Vuescan/W7/SD IV, that is the combo that I use. I had all sorts of problems with the Minolta drivers. Gave up, tried Vuescan trial. It worked and I got the VS Pro pkg for the lifetime updates. I use it with the SD IV and V700.
