Hello everybody. I carry my Hi-Matic F with me every day, but two days ago I noticed that the shutter opens for one fixed time regardless of the light level. I measured the output from photoresistor on the camera and the impedance is changing depending on the level of light (not sure about correct levels, but it changes).
I tried to put in new batteries. Old ones have 2.88 V and new ones 3.06 V output and the problem is still the same. I am using LR9 batteries with aluminum adapters.
Do any of you encounter this issue? Do you know what is the cause? Thank you for your answers!

Hi, is it by any chance stuck (or set ) in flash mode? That probably will give a fixed shutter speed.
Cheers,

Maybe difficult to assess but does the fixed speed seem fast - like it is the fastest speed - or slower? If memory serves me, the shutter will operate at the fastests speed if there's no power. And these cameras are known for having corroded wiring so may be a broken wire.

That looks promising! I will try to examine it as soon as I can. Thanks!Hi, is it by any chance stuck (or set ) in flash mode? That probably will give a fixed shutter speed.

I already replaced corroded ground wire when I got it. Sadly, the shutter won't open at all when there is no power. So this is probably not the issue - but one never knows, I'll try to look at it too, thanks!Maybe difficult to assess but does the fixed speed seem fast - like it is the fastest speed - or slower?
